Painting was bequeathed to the town of Minden by Frank Welch in 1973 and is now part of the permanent collection at the Agnes Jamieson Gallery

It is believed this view is from the Hamilton farm with South Lake, Minden in the background

Land deed for property purchased by Charles Boswell. Purchase was for 35 acres of Lot 4, Concession A of Minden Township.

Deed is waxed paper and has a large blue paper and wax seal affixed to the top left corner.
